1952 – Rocky Marciano wins his 40th straight fight with a second round knockout of Gino Buonvino. 

1974 – James “Cool Papa” Bell is elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

1994 – Scottie Pippen wins the MVP Award at the NBA All-Star Game.

2022 – Super Bowl LVI – The LA Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 23-20, in SoFi Stadium.
