1960 – Lakers guard Elgin Baylor scores 71 points in a game against the Knicks.

1970 – The expansion Cincinnati Bengals, under coach Paul Brown, beat Brown’s old team…the Cleveland Browns. Brown calls it his “greatest victory”.

1972 – Dick Allen of the White Sox is named AL MVP.

1975 – The Valparaiso Vikings football team beat Carmel 14-13 to cap off an undefeated season with a state championship.

2013 – The Andrean 59ers beat Jimtown 27-7 to win the football regional title.

2013 – EC Central wins the first regional title in the school’s football program history, beating New Prairie 38-37.

2018 – LeBron James passes Wilt Chamberlain for fifth place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

2020 – Dustin Johnson wins his first Masters championship by five strokes.
