BASEBALL: Cal Ripken World Series Press Release 7/27/23

CAL RIPKEN WORLD SERIES TO STREAM ALL GAMES ON REGION SPORTS NETWORK

The Region Sports Network (RSN) is pleased to announce that all live stream coverage of the Cal Ripken Babe Ruth 10U World Series, which will take place in Crown Point, will completely run through us.

The tournament starts with the opening ceremonies on Friday August 4 at Bulldog Park. After that, we are thankful to be a part of eight straight competitive days of top-tier baseball between 24 of the best youth teams in the world.

All of the games will be played at the CPCR Fields, located at Jerry Ross Park 341 W. North Street. The facility, which is located near downtown and just off the square, is one of the best in the area, with three turf fields, six outdoor batting cages, and stadium-like seating on their primary “Majors” field.

Competition will hit the ground running once pool play begins Saturday morning August 5. Games will start around 10am, with the last game commencing at 7pm. Also, there will be constant action at the facility, as the schedule is designed for two games to go on at the same time throughout pool play. Cal Ripken Baseball is a division of the Babe Ruth League. With seven youth divisions, it is one of the premiere development programs for young players.

Adam Whitehouse is the World Series Tournament director for this year’s activities.

“We are grateful to Chris Ramirez and his team at RSN for partnering with us on this event,” Whitehouse said. “With 24 of the best teams from around the country and the world coming to Crown Point to play in the Cal Ripken World Series, we wanted to be able to provide a way for friends and family that couldn’t make the trip to see the games. We know they will provide world class coverage of the event.”

RSN has had a longstanding partnership with Crown Point youth sports throughout the years and have been involved with tournaments of this nature in the past, having broadcast their first Babe Ruth World Series back in 2005.

Here at RSN, it has been the goal since our inception in 2000 to provide the highest level of production and coverage of whatever sport we are involved with. As always, the RSN strives to deliver the best coverage possible.

Region Sports owner and Executive Producer Chris Ramirez will have 59 games to oversee with two fields of action happening most of the time.

“We’re extremely happy that Crown Point Cal Ripken asked us to be involved with them for this tournament. It’s great to see an event like this here in Northwest Indiana,” Ramirez said. “So many games in just over a week poses quite the logistical challenge, but the folks at Crown Point Cal Ripken have been extremely helpful and everything is just about ready to go.

All of the games will be streamed live on regionsports.com, as well as the Region Sports Youtube channel and Facebook page.
