FOOTBALL: Five Red Devils Select Colleges

Lowell High School

Lowell High School announced on Monday, February 27 that several football players have chosen to continue their playing careers at the collegiate level.

Offensive and defensive lineman Luke Mitrisin has signed a letter of intent to play for Marian University under Ted Karras, Jr.

Tight end and defensive end Nick Kijurna will play for defending NAIA national champions St. Xavier. Lowell alums Jordan Juarez and Cole Midget are also at St. Xavier.

Offensive and defensive lineman Tyler Wright will join former Red Devils Jay Trappani and Dominic Rebesco at Robert Morris. Former Red Devils Toby Goetz is an assistant coach there as well.

Running back and defensive back Clark Mikesell as well as offensive and defensive lineman Jake Hayden will both attend NCAA DIII Trine University. They will join former Red Devil Jeff Harbrecht at Trine.
