Information: Rich, or "Rico" as he is known by his RSN mates, is a life long Regionite who grew up in the blue collar city of East Chicago.

A 1977 graduate of East Chicago Roosevelt, this Rough Rider and former two sport athlete, is living the dream of many sport enthusiasts. Signing with the RSN back in 2006, this high school basketball fanatic is a walking encyclopedia of Region hoops.

Receiving his Bachelor Degree from Indiana State University in 1981, the highly motivated Castillo went on to serve as the Quality Assurance Manager for a major marketing company until 2005.

Rico has also been active in the community, coaching Little League in East Chicago for ten years. After Club Ki-Yowga got out of the Little League business, Rich along with the four other individuals started what is known as the East Chicago Civic Little League.

After his Little League years, Rich still wanted to put his knowledge of the game to good use, this time at a higher level, coaching High School Summer Baseball in the American Legion League. Today Rich is still active in youth sports in the community as he volunteers his time to the Hessville Vipers Youth Football program, where sits on the executive board and is also the Director of Flag Football.

A team player, Rico enjoys his daily responsibilities as an advertising sales exec, but at night the do-it-all performer emerges from the phone booth as a stringer, reporter, statistician, and color man.
